7 Series Sedan
Imposing at the front, powerful at the rear, the BMW 7 Series Sedan is a vehicle that exudes confidence. The large kidney grilles emphasize the new BMW 7 Series' imposing presence while the striking shoulder line extends uninterrupted from hood to rear, making the car seem longer. The door handles are integrated seamlessly into this shoulder line, creating an inimitable effect even at night. Whether you're looking for serenity or exhilaration, you can rely on the dual personalities of the long-wheelbase BMW 7 Series to accommodate your desires.
An optional feature in the BMW 7 Series Sedan, Head-Up Display presents important information - speed, navigation directions and alerts - directly in the driver's field of vision. The information is projected via the windscreen into the driver's field of vision, thus minimizing distraction. The virtual image appears approximately two metres away, at the end of the hood. The driver's attention stays on the road ahead and the eye strain of repeated refocusing is eliminated.
Driving in the dark becomes a more relaxing experience with BMW Night Vision. This optional system reveals objects up to 300 metres ahead of the vehicle, thanks to an infrared camera that transmits images to the Control Display. BMW is the world's first car maker to offer person detection. Intelligent algorithms look specifically for pedestrians shown in yellow in the video. Should the system detect any danger to individual persons, the driver receives an additional warning on the Control Display or optional Head-Up Display.
The BMW 7 Series supports drivers discreetly by generating vibrations on the steering wheel. At the rear, radar sensors monitor traffic conditions, and a triangular symbol on the base of the exterior mirror shows the driver if there is another vehicle moving into a potentially dangerous position. As soon as the driver uses the indicator to change lanes, they are warned in such a situation by a flashing LED signal and vibrations.
